This past Wednesday I took the bus over to Montreal to work with the amazingly talented Philip Faith! On day one of shooting I got to work with the ever so lovely Lavender May! I've been following her online for the past year, wanting to set something up and it finally happened!
Lavender brought over a huge trunk of goodies consisting of vintage Lingerie accessories and even some of her own designs. Philip and his assistant set up an amazing opium den style boudoir, with beautiful silk sheets and feathers. Our first look was styled with a 1920s theme hair look with a gypsy twist. A basic pinup cat eye and a heavy lip shade supplied by Lime Crime. Lavender dressed us in some of her own personal body jewellery designs. Everything fit so perfectly, she has an eye for detail and the shots were total perfection. Our second look consisted of a 1950s boudoir look, rocking some of Lavenders vintage lingerie collection and some cat eye glasses. My glasses were supplied by LuLu Guinness. I styled my hair in a basic vixen faux bang with loose curls, rocking some Shu Uemura lipstick in red.
By the end of the shoot it was late so i hit the sack fast, and onto another day of excitement for the morning! Day two Philips friend Steven stopped by the studio with an amazing Gretsch, The Brian Setzer Signature Nashville Guitar. Oh boy! Did my mouth ever water! I was so excited to be shooting with this beauty. For the shoot, i got inspired by Wanda Woodward from Crybaby. I wanted to do a total rockabilly vixen look. My outfit consisted of some of my own personal clothing as well as being able to wear some amazing Adala Latex ! The wardrobe and guitar paired with the edgy rock'n roll set was everything I had hoped for that day!
I had a blast in Montreal and I hope to return this summer! Arriving back in Toronto on Friday night I got all glam trashed up and headed on over to the Skull Fist show at The Mod Club, the place was completely packed and the guys killed it! By far one of my favourite concerts this year! So many concerts and many trips are headed my way, so keep a look out on my blog for continuous updates!
